Did you know that 54% of children in our community live below the poverty line and can’t afford basic school supplies? This means 1 in 2 local students start school without the essentials they need to feel included and succeed in the classroom.
To make a positive impact on these students, Woman With A Weapon, LLC is partnering with Classroom Central to ensure that all local students have what they need to succeed. Classroom Central supports over 162,000 students and their teachers in 248 high-need schools, across six regional school districts, and provides them with free school supplies and classroom resources.
Despite the efforts of Classroom Central, the need is our community is not decreasing. Every day, more people move to the Charlotte region, and additional students and families require their assistance. To meet this ever-growing demand, their goal is to collect 1,000,000 supplies - all of which will be distributed directly to local students!
We will accept school supply donations at our July and August classes and events. Classroom Central also accepts 100% tax-deductible financial contributions. Each $1 donated turns into $9 worth of school supplies for students in need, making your donation highly impactful.
Not attending an event and want to contribute you can order supplies off the Amazon shopping list or send donations via CashApp to $WomanWithAWeapon and we will buy the supplies for you.
